The Global Collaborative partners with early childhood organizations with a mission to empower educators to be agents of change. We use real tools, real materials, and real problems to encourage a love of playful learning, creative capacity, the tenacity to think big and the persistence to turn ideas into action.
We know that reimagining education requires more than a single shot and we believe in the co-construction of understanding over time to embed practice in authentic ways. That’s why we offer long-term support through ongoing, multi-year partnerships. Fully customizable in duration and frequency, our Global Collaborative Residency program guides schools and districts through strategic planning, program design and the accompanying professional learning needed for full implementation. Both onsite and virtually, Global Collaborative Residencies are delivered over a year or often several years as an in-depth professional learning experience for both educators and school leaders.
The pandemic closed physical school buildings but it did not stop learning. The Global Collaborative worked harder than ever to provide remote support though virtual planning meetings, remote curriculum design, resource support and customized online professional learning. While working virtually has always been a part of our residency program, we have transformed our face-to-face experiences into engaging online platforms of all shapes and sizes, including “byte-sized” virtual professional development. 2021 saw the launch of our newest offerings- an early years suite of virtual workshops designed for both schools and leaders. Based on needs from our partner schools to make advocacy and education simpler for families, we’re thrilled to also announce the launch of customizable, printable parent education letters that support schools work in the area of playful inquiry.
